Dayenu — a volunteer information project talking of Israel's love, pain, and pulse in the time of crisis — as felt and told by real people. In addition to publications on social networks, they publish explanatory long-reads about events and trends affecting attitudes to the situation in the Middle East in general and to Israel in particular.
Description:
In a world where people rely on social media to get their news, and there is hardly any way of controlling what narratives are created, conspiracy theories thrive. Powered by hatred and the desire to find scapegoats, they are dangerous and powerful. We have prepared an explainer about conspiracy theories, especially antisemitic and anti-Israel ones.
Challenge:
Create a set of headline illustrations and infographics for the research part of an issue and process the existing images (photos, screenshots etc.) to keep visual consistency.

Limitations:
1. Design should base on the Dayenu style guide for for colors, conciseness and consistency.
2. Short time from the project starting to the publication that required to find some technical solutions for creative tasks.
3. A wide variety of raw materials in size and quality.
Solution
Main visual idea
The main visual idea is based on the main subject of conspiracy theories: people in the whole world act like puppets controlled by secret puppeteers. All illustrations were created with AI Midjourney prompt and edited using Photoshop.
Infographics
Some subjects in the research part might be difficult for the untrained reader, so some infographics were needed. Some charts require some advanced research to make the data more clear. Depending on the subject, there are either static or dynamic charts.
General subjects (e.g. public surveys) are represented with bar charts or line charts:
The comparison of subjects by volume and importance is shown in the bubble charts:
The multiple fast growing values required some dynamics:
The existing images (screenshots, photos, etc.) required some tweaking: saling, color correction, adding corner roundness to achieve the consistency of the visual elements. The sources are indicated for all images.
The authors hope that they were able to help readers tо avoid being drawn in by a conspiracy theory!
